Baked French Toast

Mix
usual amount of French Toast batter for your family (eggs and milk), adding
a dash of cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Spread bread in bottom of greased
Baking dish(es), and pour batter on top, making sure bread is just covered.
Bake at 350° for 30-40 minutes until batter is absorbed and cooked through.
Serve with butter and syrup. You can slice homemade bread about 1
inch thick to make "fat" French Toast. You can also make the night before,
refrigerate, then bake one hour. Bake covered for soft toast, and uncovered
for crunchy top. |
